If you're considering Veo
Buy it if the budget allows. A camera that films, analyzes, and livestreams every match without a volunteer behind it is a genuinely good purchase, and faraway grandparents will thank you for the livestreams.
What it will not do is tell you anything about the coaching itself. The camera watches the players. Nothing it records says what your coaches told each kid, or whether the quiet ones heard anything at all. That record is the one Coach Sidekick keeps, and it starts at practice, where cameras rarely point.

If you're on Hudl
Keep it. Film review is where match footage earns its keep, and for older age groups the recruiting reels matter. Nothing about Coach Sidekick asks you to change how your film room works.
Coach Sidekick covers the layer Hudl never sees: the spoken coaching at practices, at halftime, and on the touchline while the game is running. Directors use it to answer a different question than film answers. Not what happened, but what each player is being taught.

If you're on Trace
Trace is the closest neighbor in spirit, because it is also built for families: automatic clips of your own player are a loved artifact. If your families treasure the footage, keep it for them.
The difference is what the artifact is. A clip shows a moment your player had. A Coach Sidekick digest tells the story of what your player is working on, in the coach's own words, reviewed by the coach before any family sees it. One is a keepsake of the game. The other is the record of the development.
What Coach Sidekick does not do
No video. No livestreams. No highlight reels, no recruiting tape, no tactical film breakdown. If your club needs those, the platforms above are the right tools, and this page will not pretend otherwise. Coach Sidekick records spoken coaching, attributes it to the right player, and turns it into a development record that coaches review and families can actually use.

- Does this replace Hudl or Veo?
- No, it is complementary. Hudl and Veo solve video analysis: what happened on the field, tactically. Coach Sidekick solves the coaching conversation around it: what you said, who you said it to, and what happens next for each player. The problems do not overlap, so clubs that film keep filming and run both.
- Can a club run Coach Sidekick alongside a camera system?
- Yes, and that is the normal setup we expect. The camera covers matches. Coach Sidekick covers the coaching, starting at practice. There is no integration to build and no workflow overlap: coaches tap record on a phone and coach.
- Why does this page tell us to buy other products?
- Because they are good at what they do, and pretending otherwise would tell you something about how we would treat you as a customer. Veo, Hudl, and Trace keep a visual record no audio product can replace. We keep a spoken record no camera can replace. An honest comparison says both.
