For players
Know exactly what your coach sees in you.
After every session your coach records, you get a personalized breakdown of their feedback. What they noticed. What you're doing well. What to work on next, with specific drills matched to you.
We hear our coaches, but we don't always remember the details.
In a study of 342 youth soccer players ages 10 to 18, players retained an average of only 57% of what their coach told them, and in 65% of feedback moments the message did not fully land (Januário et al., 2016). Coach Sidekick makes sure every cue your coach meant for you actually reaches you.
We want to get better, but it's not always clear what to work on.
Every piece of feedback comes with matched drills, focus points, and coaching tips. You always have a clear next step, not just words of encouragement.
It's hard to see our own growth.
Session by session, your development story builds. Track what you've worked on, what's improving, and where coaches see you heading.
Your Feedback
Your feedback, after every session.
After your coach records and reviews, you get a personalized digest: what they noticed about you, organized by type. Tactical, technical, positional, motivational. You see exactly what your coach thinks you should focus on.

Matched Drills
Drills matched to your feedback.
Every piece of coaching feedback comes with a recommended drill, focus points, and tips. Not generic training plans. Drills matched to what your coach actually said about you in that session.

See your feedback history, completed drills, and how your focus areas evolve. Watch your own growth happen, session by session.

How it works
Your coach does the work. You get the results.
Your coach records the session
During practice or a match, your coach records audio on their phone. You don't need to do anything different.
Your coach reviews your feedback
Coach Sidekick figures out which feedback was meant for you. Your coach reviews and approves before you see it.
You get your development plan
Open Coach Sidekick and see what your coach noticed, what to work on, and exactly which drills to do before the next session.
Built by a former NCAA champion and MLS player who knows what it's like to need clear feedback at every level.
Coach Sidekick was co-founded by Hunter Jumper, a national champion at Virginia and an MLS veteran. He built this because he's been in your position and knows how much good coaching feedback matters.
Questions players usually ask
- Can my coach see what I do with my feedback?
- Yes. When you mark a drill as completed, add notes about how it went, or check off focus points, your coach sees that. That's the feedback loop working: your coach tells you what to work on, you work on it, your coach sees what you did, next session's feedback gets sharper.
- What if I disagree with something my coach said?
- Write it in your notes on that feedback item, and your coach sees your notes. You can also bring it up in your next session; coaches usually appreciate players who think critically about their feedback. What you can't do is delete feedback from your view, because it's part of the development record for that session.
- Do I have to do the drills?
- No. The drills are suggestions matched to what your coach said about you. They're not assignments with grades. But they're there because your coach noticed something specific, and the drill is designed to help. If you want to get better faster, do them. If you want to ignore them, your coach will notice eventually, and that's a conversation you'll want to be ready for.
- Will my parents see everything in my account?
- If your parents have a parent account linked through your academy, yes: they see the same session summaries you see. That's standard for youth academy settings. If that dynamic doesn't work for your family, talk to your parents and your coach. Academies can often adjust access.
- Can I go back and see feedback from earlier in the season?
- Yes. Your full feedback history stays in your account as long as you're enrolled with the academy. Some academies archive older sessions after a year; check with your coach or director for specifics at your club.
