The feedback engine

Every word you say becomes something a player can use.

Capture, attribution, review, delivery. The feedback engine takes what you say on the pitch and turns it into personalized, approved, actionable feedback for every player. You press record and approve. It does the rest.

The feedback engine

Watch one sentence travel through the engine.

One thing a coach says, followed from the moment it leaves your mouth to the moment it reaches the player it was meant for. The words stay yours. Everything else gets built around them.

  1. 01

    Capture

Press record and coach like you always do. Coach Sidekick captures every word and turns it into a timestamped transcript. No special equipment.

  2. 02

    Attribute

The AI works out who each moment was for and classifies it: tactical, positional, and more, with a confidence score you can see.

  3. 03

    Review

Nothing reaches a player until you approve it. Edit the wording, reassign it, or remove it. You stay the coach, not the algorithm.

  4. 04

    Deliver

The player opens their digest and reads the moment in your words, with a matched drill and focus points to work on before next session.

Attribution

Every moment, attributed and classified.

Each verbal cue is matched to the right player and categorized: tactical, technical, positional, motivational. You see the full session organized by who heard what, not a wall of undifferentiated transcript.

Review

You approve everything. Nothing slips through.

Review what Coach Sidekick heard before any of it reaches a player. Edit for accuracy, reassign a cue to a different player, or remove it entirely. You are the coach, not the algorithm.

Where it starts

It begins with what you say on the pitch.

Feedback is one of the most powerful levers in how people learn. The hard part has always been getting it to land.

Decades of education research place well-targeted feedback among the highest-impact things a teacher or coach can do (Wisniewski, Zierer & Hattie, 2020: d = 0.48 across 435 studies). The feedback engine exists to make that feedback actually reach the player it was meant for.

Questions about the engine

How accurate is the attribution?
It works well in most cases, and the review step is the safety net for when it doesn't. Every session is yours to check before anything reaches a player: edit an attribution, reassign a cue, or remove it. We would rather be transparent that the AI isn't perfect than pretend it is.
How long does processing take after I stop recording?
Most sessions are ready for review in under 15 minutes, including transcription, attribution, and categorization. Longer sessions or heavy background noise can push that toward 30 minutes. The session shows its status live and lands in your review queue the moment it's ready.
What if I don't want a moment delivered?
Remove it during review and it never leaves. Nothing is auto-sent. The clearest mental model: the engine prepares everything, and you decide what actually reaches each player.
Do I need a special microphone, or is my phone enough?
Your phone works. A clip-on lav mic helps outdoors where wind is a factor, but a modern phone on the sideline captures enough clean audio for accurate attribution. Start with your phone and upgrade only if you find you need to.

Where it lands

It ends with a player who knows exactly what to work on next.

Press record. We'll handle the rest.
